From London and the Midlands, Taw Mill can be reached in approximately 3-4 hours driving or train time.

By road via M4/M5
Leave the M5 Motorway at Junction 27, proceed towards Tiverton on the A361. Take the second turning indicated for Tiverton, go past Morrisons then take the B3137 signposted Witheridge. Shortly before Witheridge turn left onto the B3042 signposted Chawleigh and make for Eggesford Station. At Eggesford Station go across the main Barnstaple-Exeter road (A377) and over the rail tracks and river following the signs to Brushford. On reaching the B3220 (at a little triangular traffic island) turn right. Then almost immediately turn left at the Taw Mill sign.

By road via A303, A30 or A35
Join the M5 Motorway and follow signs for Torquay/Plymouth. Exit at Junction 31 (Signposted Okehampton/Bodmin). After about 15 miles leave the A30 at the Whiddon Down junction signposted Torrington and Winkleigh. Pass the services and take the first right onto the A3124 towards North Tawton. Follow the road, crossing the A3072, and proceed into North Tawton. At the town centre (the clock tower), turn sharp right and leave by the road between the Town Hall and the bank and pass the butcher and the church. Proceed for 3 miles until you reach the B3220. Turn left (signposted Winkleigh) then first left at the Taw Mill sign.

By train:

From London:
Trains depart from Paddington station to Exeter. At Exeter change train and alight at Eggesford station where we will be able to have transport to meet you.
From Heathrow airport:
There is a frequent coach service direct to Reading station where you can join the express trains to Exeter.
From Gatwick airport:
There are trains from Gatwick to Reading station and then proceed as above.
